خدایا محرم امسال در دل ما رقم بخورد

نه  در  تکرار  مرثیه ها

Moharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four months of the year in which fighting is prohibited. Since the Islamic calendar is lunar, Moharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.

Moharram is so called because it was unlawful to fight during this month; the word is derived from the word ‘haram’ meaning forbidden. It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. Some Muslims fast during these days. The tenth day of Moharram is called Yaumu-l 'Ashurah, meaning, ‘the tenth day’, and it is a day of voluntary fasting. Fasting differs among the Muslim groupings; mainstream Shia Muslims stop eating and drinking during sunlight hours but do not fast until the evening. Sunni Muslims also fast during Moharram and on either the ninth or the eleventh day, the choice of which additional day being at the discretion of the individual.

The Battle of Karbala took place on Moharram 10, 61 AH (October 9 or 10, 680 CE) in Karbala, in present day Iraq. On one side were supporters and relatives of Muhammad's grandson Husayn ibn Ali; on the other side was a military detachment from the forces of Yazid I, the Umayyad caliph.

Husayn ibn Ali's group consisted of notable members of Muhammad's close relatives, around 72 men, of which some were either very old or very young. Husayn and some members of his group were accompanied by some of the women and children from their families. On the opposite side, the armed forces of Yazid I were led by Umar ibn Sa'ad and contained at least 40,000 men

Shia traditions state that Husayn ibn Ali's group killed over 20% of the enemy. Husayn ibn Ali himself killed 900 soldiers, despite the fact that he was thirsty and hungry for 3 days. It is stated that he died to resurrect Islam.

The battle field was a desert region located beside one of the branches of the Euphrates River. The battle resulted in the military defeat of Husayn ibn Ali's group, the death of almost all of his men, and the captivity of all women and children.

The Battle of Karbala is one of the most significant battles in the history of Shia Muslims.

This battle also had significant effects on formation of subsequent revolts against the Umayyad dynasty.

The battle of Husayn ibn Ali is commemorated during an annual 10-day period held every Moharram, culminating on its tenth day, Ashura. complete information

Yalda Night – شب یلدا

Yalda Night – شب یلدا

Shab-e Yaldā or Shab-e Chelleh is an Iranian festival originally celebrated on the Northern Hemisphere’s longest night of the year, that is, on the eve of the Winter Solstice.

The 13th century Iranian poet Sa’di wrote in his Bustan: “The true morning will not come, until the Yalda Night is gone”. Following the Iranian calendar reform of 1925, which pegged some seasonal events to specific days of the calendar, Yalda came to be celebrated on the night before and including the first day of the tenth month (Dey). Subject to seasonal drift, this day may sometimes fall a day before or a day after the actual Winter Solstice.

Following the fall of the Sassanid Empire and the subsequent rise of Islam, the religious significance of the event was lost, and like other Zoroastrian festivals Yalda became a social occasion when family and close friends would get together. Nonetheless, the obligatory serving of fresh fruit during mid-winter is reminiscent of the ancient customs of invoking the divinities to request protection of the winter crop.

Eid al-Ghadir: greatest Muslim Eid
Fri, 28 Dec 2007 15:36:22
By Marjan Hassani Rad, Press TV, Tehran

Eid al-Ghadir is the anniversary commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's - peace be upon him and his progeny - last instructions to the believers by declaring Hazrat Ali - upon whom also be peace - his successor and legatee at Ghadir Khumm.

The occasion was his return from his last pilgrimage to Mecca which is known in history as 'Hajjat-ul-Wida'.

Prophet Muhammad's last sermon at Ghadir Khumm is an event celebrated by Shia Muslims worldwide, who regard it as the confirmation of Hazrat Ali's succession to Prophet Muhammad.

This event took place on the 18th of Zil-Hajj, in 632 CE, 3 months before the Prophet Mohammad's demise.

On this day the Prophet Mohammad was ordered by the Almighty to publicly and officially appoint Imam Ali as his successor and to seek the Muslims' allegiance for Ali. He therefore ordered all caravans returning from Hajj to stop at Ghadir Khumm. As soon as all the pilgrims were gathered, he revealed Ayah-e Ghadir Khumm to the people.

The message was: "O Messenger, deliver to the people what has been revealed to you from your Lord and if you do not do so then you will not have delivered His message and Allah will protect you from the people. For God does not guide those who reject Faith."

Near the end of his blessed life, Prophet Muhammad had been uneasy. There was a potential for disunity in the nascent Muslim community. Muhammad declared his own son-in-law and cousin, Ali ibn Abu Taleb, as his spiritual and secular heir publicly at God's command.

After declaring Hazrat Ali his successor by raising his hand and calling him the true leader of Muslims after himself, Prophet Muhammad called on Muslims to give allegiance to their Imam. All Muslims declared allegiance to Imam Ali as the leader of the believers by congratulating him on this great honor.

The Holy Prophet asked at Ghadir Khumm, "Am I not more precious to you than your own-selves?"

In response to this question Muslims said "Yes, you are dearer to us than our own lives."

The Prophet responded with, "O God, be witness to their admission. Ali is the master of one who acknowledges me to be his master. O God, love those who love Ali. Help those who help Ali. Desert those who desert Ali. I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the gate."

However, after the death of Prophet Mohammad some Muslims did not observe or adhere to the allegiance that they had sworn to Imam Ali; some did. Those who did adhere to Allah's command and obeyed the order of the Prophet Mohammad became known as the partisans of Ali, the Eid Ghadir is considered one of the most important religious celebrations in Iran. Muslims demonstrate their allegiance great love and respect for Imam Ali.

On this day men, women, and children dress in their finest clothing to visit their relatives and friends.

During this holiday, Iranian Muslims traditionally visit the families that are related to the Prophet to assert allegiance. The "seyyeds" thank them with cookies and various gifts.

Many young Iranian couples make use of the auspicious day to wed.

They hope their marriage will remain firm and permanent with the remembrance of Imam Ali (PBUH).

E
ID-E-GHORBAN

  • Eid-Al-Adha (Eid-Al-Azha or Eid-e- Ghorban) is the festival of sacrifice. The word "Azha" literally means sheep, goats or cattle offered in sacrifice. All Moslems celebrate this festival by sacrificing cattle.

  • This is the second festival introduced by the prophet Mohammed and is connected with the historical incident when Saint Abrahim (Abraham) decided to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) to Allah (God). God put a ram in place of Ismail.

  • About two thousand seven hundred and ninety three years before the Migration (Hijrat) of Prophet Mohammed, Saint Abrahim, his wife and his infant son Ismail left Syria to Mecca. Mecca was a desert with no water and vegetation. Saint Abrahim prays to God, departs from his family but ensure them of God's protection. Janab-e-Hagar, Saint Abrahim's wife in compliance's with God's will settled on the land until all the stored water was used up. She climbed two hills of Safa and Marva seven times without a stop in hope of finding water for her thirsty infant. However, it was in vain.

  • When she returns to her child without water, she found her infant son under a fountain of water rushing under his feet. On viewing the miracle of God, she thanked God and called this water Zamzam. Since then, this fountain is known as Zamzam.

  • The tribe of Jurhum was passing by in search of water when they found the fountain, Abrahim's wife and his son. With the permission of Janab-Hagar, they stayed at the place of "Arafat". The tribe settled there with approval of Saint Abrahim when he returned to visit his wife and son.

  • The tribe offered sheep to Saint Abrahim' son, Ismail as a present. As Ismail grew older, he owned a large number of sheep. He lived with his mother comfortably and was visited by his father occasionally.

  • One day Saint Abrahim saw in his dream slaughtering his son so he took his dream as a command of his Lord. He spoke with his son and asked for his opinion. Saint Ismail responded "if God pleases, you will find me among the patient ones."

Kaaba

  • Saint Abrahim and Ismail prepared for the sacrifice. When Saint Abrahim moved the knife against Ismail's neck, Angel Gabriel replaced Ismail with a sheep. God praised Saint Abrahim for passing the test. When Saint Abrahim found his son safe, he thanked God and took his son to Kaaba (in Saudi Arabia).

  • Saint Abrahim's commitment and devotion to God earned such a great pleasure of God that all Muslims required to visit Kaaba a monument to Allah at least once in their lifetime if they can afford it.

  • Some commentators have interpreted that physical conclusion of great sacrifice of Ismail is found in the Martyrdom of Imam Husain.

آیا قیاس گیرمت از روز نوبهار؟

?Shall I compare thee to a summer's day
:Thou art more lovely and more temperate
,Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May
;And summer's lease hath all too short a date
,Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines
,And often is his gold complexion dimmed
,And every fair from fair sometime declines
;By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed
,But thy eternal summer shall not fade
,Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st
,Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade
,When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st
,So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see
.So long lives this, and this gives life to thee
