It's a long way

A long time ago, the farmers of Wales used to send their cattle to England to sell.

The drovers would look after them, and walk with them all the way to London.

One day, one of the drovers cut a stick for himself from the branch of a tree.

Having arrived in London, he met a Wizard on the street who wanted to know where the stick had come from , and the drover told him.

I've got a stick

There's a cave down here

The drover took the Wizard back to the tree where the stick had come from.

They both started digging by the base of the tree.

They found some steps that led down to a cave.

They entered the cave, and there they found treasure, some knights in armour and a round table.

The Wizard explained that they were

         King Arthur

and his knights, and that they should be careful not to wake them

There's people in here

Ring the bell The Wizard collected as much gold as he could into his pockets.

In another part of the cave, there was a bell, and the drover rang the bell.

One of the soldiers called out

"Who rang the bell? Is Wales ready for us?"
"No, go back to sleep" replied the Wizard.

Even more soldiers awoke from their sleep and the Wizard said

"Sleep on your majesty"

The king and his knights went back to sleep once again.

When WILL Wales be ready?

We're off The drover and the Wizard ran out of the cave, and the drover disappeared for ever more.

For months afterwards, the wizard searched and searched for the entrance to the cave, but it was never found, and King Arthur and his Knights sleep on, awaiting for the call to help Wales in its hour of need.
